In the words of the late, great Jimmy Day, "I wish I could play that fast....then I wouldn't" |

Pretty tough to find a rhythm section that can keep up! Musically speaking, I'd rather listen to Larry Coryell play guitar. ![]() Alex |

Must admit, his technique is very clean for those speeds. But it's probably the only song the guy has ever played. |

I think it's because his guitar has an extra-wide neck... ![]() |

It would be hard to call it music, but it is very impressive what a talented human can achieve with perseverance and dedication. To be honest, though, I'm also impressed with those hot dog eating contest winners. Not the venue I'd choose, but they are trained competitors! What my real takeaway from this is, I can improve my guitar technique if I work hard at it, Mike |

He's playing along to a track. Guitars don't sound like when played that fast and you can hear his actual guitar out of sync with it in the last few rounds. Very unnatural. |

I dunno, I feel like there was room in there for at least three more notes |

Huhm... I think the older I get, the more I can appreciate BB King... |

In the last couple of years, I've been fortunate enough to see BB King once and Buddy Guy twice. BB puts on a very entertaining concert, but his skills are understandably declining. Buddy at 77 appears to be at his peak, Mike |

Alain, you're so right. Five or six notes played by BB can be so pleasing to the ears (and heart) compared to that technical exercise that I wouldn't call music. Just my $0.02 US worth. Brent |

He missed a note. ![]() I would not judge this as music it's really more of a circus act but a pretty impressive one. I'd take a nice slow sustained David Gilmore solo over that any day too. |

Where is the melody? Seriously nothing impressive about this. Speed for the sake of speed is just wanking off. |

What's wrong with a good wank? |

Interesting, but I put this is the category of the cat playing a piano video... fun to watch, but wouldn't buy a full length CD/DVD. |

Have to concur with Flippo, While it takes skill to perform this, it is only for show for about 5 minutes of someones time. Once you see it then it becomes uninteresting. |

For the record, I don't think this guy is trying to put together an album here |

I also instinctively disliked his circus act, so I thought I'd find a video of him playing something else.... I much prefer this! EDITED: To play the more produced version that John linked below. No point having the inferior version. ![]() |
